Treloar School and College provides outstanding education, care, therapy and independence training to physically disabled children and young people from age 4 to 25 years. Provision is both day and residential and students come from across the UK and overseas. Both our educational and residential School provision are rated Outstanding by Ofsted (School 2018/Residential 2019). Our College, based on the same site, offers continued education and care up to the age of 25 and has also been rated Outstanding by Ofsted (2017). At Treloar's we prepare students for life after they leave and equip them with the confidence, independence skills and the academic or vocational qualifications they require.
There is a GP service as well as occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and physiotherapists. There are also visual impairment and assistive technology specialists plus dieticians and specialist counsellors on-site. Therapy is integrated into the school day to maximise opportunities for learning. Our transition team works with each student from assessment through to their destination to help them reach their goals and aspirations.
Entry Requirement
A student assessment will include consideration of education, medical, therapy and care staff needs. Each student's programme is constructed to ensure their individual needs are met. Part-time placements, limited time placements and respite for day students are all available.
